Hotel Marquesa is a beautiful old historic hotel. The hotel itself is beautifully built with lots of carved wood with reception situated in a grand internal courtyard. Buffet breakfast great selection of hot and cold foods. The rooms were a good size, cool with a shower over a bath. The view from the room was over a beautifully planted square, lots of people watching and sounds of busking guitarists. Loved this hotel, excellent swimming pool on the roof with views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Will definitely book again.

One of our main considerations when choosing the hotel was the location in the "old town" section of Puerto de la Cruz and we were not disappointed. We were close to many shops and restaurants and a short walk from the pools at Costa Martianez and the beach. The included breakfast was a plus. (Keep in mind when booking this hotel that it is on a pedestrian street and vehicles cannot pull up to the entrance. The closest taxi or bus drop off will be a couple of blocks away.)

The hotel has a very nice lobby. Excellent location. Very central. Our room was basic and with dated furniture. Had a sea view and was very clean, as were other areas of the hotel. Nice view from the roof on square. Wifi was usable for media streaming. Tried on several devices. The reception staff and the housekeepers were friendly. The staff at the restaurant were mostly friendly. My opinion that some of the waiters do not like their job.

The hotel is great to stay at, we've stayed twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed both stays.lots of bad reviews on trip advisor regarding the food but we didn't find it a problem at all. They cater for most nationalities and offer a huge choice of food to eat, and you can go back as many times as you wish for more food if you want it. Prices for half board is well worth it. Location is perfect. Would recommend to others.
